Samanta Cimitan

Chief Executive Officer of Celonic Group

Dr. Samanta Cimitan is the Chief Executive Officer of Celonic Group, a Swiss-based biologics CDMO. She has over 20 years’ experience in the Life Science industry, combining scientific, commercial, and operational leadership. Prior to Celonic, she held senior roles at Ciba/BASF, and spent nearly 13 years at Lonza, including Vice President of Group Operations Strategy, where she led large transformations across R&D, operations, and commercial functions. Dr. Cimitan holds a PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Bologna, in collaboration with BMC at Uppsala University, and a master’s in industrial chemistry. She has co-authored scientific publications in the field of pharmaceutical sciences.
