Morten Peter Meldal

Nobel Laureate in Chemistry (2022) · Professor of Chemistry, University of Copenhagen

Morten Meldal, Professor, Department of Chemistry, University of Copenhagen (UCPH), head of CECB since 2013. Head of NSC at UCPH from 2011 to 2013, Leader of the synthesis group at the Carlsberg Laboratory 1988-2011 and full professor since 2004. He has a degree in engineering and a technical Ph.D. degree in the synthetic chemistry of oligosaccharides and was an independent research associate at The Technical University of Denmark (DTU) 1983-1988 including a postdoctoral period at MRC-LMB, UK. He received many awards including the Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 2022. He published +350 publications within organic chemistry, molecular recognition and processing.
