Michael Bogdan Mărgineanu

The Francis Crick Institute

Michael-Bogdan Mărgineanu is a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Cancer Neuroscience Laboratory at the Francis Crick Institute, in London (UK), his research focusing on small cell lung cancer. His doctoral research contributed to establishing a role for lactate in synaptic plasticity in the brain. Previously, Michael taught Human Physiology at the “V. Babes” University of Medicine and Pharmacy Timisoara, and founded Biomentorhub, a youth-led NGO established in Romania, focused on mentoring young scientists and innovators in biosciences. He is also a co-founder of the Lindau Mentoring Hub, a mentoring platform supported by the Lindau Nobel Laureate Meetings Foundation.
