Klaus Müllen

Max Planck Institute for Polymer Research

Klaus Müllen studied chemistry at the University of Cologne and received his PhD from the University of Basel and his habilitation from ETH Zürich. He was Professor of Organic Chemistry at the Universities of Cologne and Basel and Director of the Max Planck Institute for Polymer Research, Mainz. His research topics comprise Organic and Macromolecular Chemistry as well as Material and Nano Science. He served as president of the German Chemical Society and the German Association for the Advancement of Sciences and Medicine. He is Associate Editor of the Journal of the American Chemical Society.
