Crystal Mackall

Crystal Mackall is the Ernest and Amelia Gallo Professor of Pediatrics & Medicine at Stanford University, where she serves as the Founding Director of the Stanford Center for Cancer Cell Therapy and Associate Director of the Stanford Cancer Institute. Dr. Mackall is an accomplished translational scientist, leading fundamental bench science and early phase trials of cancer immunotherapies. Her group was among the first to demonstrate impressive activity of CD19-CAR T cells in pediatric leukemia, generated a novel CAR targeting CD22 that has also demonstrated impressive anti-leukemic activity and is developing approaches to engineer exhaustion-resistant CAR T cells targeting solid tumors.
